Rapid Prompting™ Method
Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) is an approach to assist children with autism demonstrate their comprehension, academic skills and communication.  RPM is a low-tech technique involving paper, pencil, and a teacher.
Tender Touch Therapy has a certified RPM instructor to teach the techniques and philosophy to children with autism. RPM finds and uses the best channels for the child to learn, whether it be auditory or visual. The treatment is specific to the child and the teacher works with the child’s strength to provide success with comprehension, academics, and communication. RPM assists children with learning how to choose the correct answer and how to choose that answer by pointing. Over time, RPM teaches children how to spell out their answers. RPM also assists with improving self esteem and empowering the child. It assists with their abilities to begin to socialize and communicate with others of all ages. RPM also assists with improving patience and understanding challenges.
